Company History

Founded in Gatineau on June 1st, 2016, ABC Structure Inc. quickly distinguished itself from the competition to occupy a place of predilection in the Greater Outaouais region. During the spring floods of 2017, we were at the forefront of designing waterproof foundations throughout Quebec and Ontario. With the spring floods of 2019 in Quebec, ABC Structure Inc. has become the firm of choice among victims in the region. We have redesigned foundations across Quebec and Ontario. In places like the greater Pontiac region in the Outaouais, we have made engineering plans to rebuild whole communities. Since our creation on June 1st, 2016, we carry out many projects a year. These engineering projects vary from structural alterations to existing buildings, to foundation plans and house plans. We also carry out legal expertise for hidden defects, structural inspections after disasters to name just a few. In short, we offer our services in Quebec and Ontario.

Our mission
Our mission is to assist home owners, general contractors, interior designers with their structural design challenges. At ABC Structure inc, we design buildings structural components and we prepare the necessary engineering drawings to help you get the necessary construction permit from your city. In Canada, it is required to have sealed engineering drawings from a licensed engineer before any structural modifications can be done to a building or house. If you are planning to renovate your house or modify the existing structure to fit your need and preference, we are here to help.

Our approach
You can contact us to explain your needs and we will give you a price. If a field expertise is required, we will book an appointment
with you. The fees for the field expertise are payable the day of the visit and the fees for the production of drawings, reports or else are due
upon submission of the drawings to the client. We do not bill mileage fees to our clients. Wherever you are in Quebec and Ontario, if you accept our fees, we will come to you and serve you.

Our president

John Staël JEAN-CLAUDE, ing., P.Eng., M.Eng., MBA
John Stael JEAN-CLAUDE is a registered professional engineer in the province of Ontario and the province of Quebec. He is a graduate of the University of Ottawa and Laval University. He obtained a Bachelor of Civil Engineer (2008) and a Master of Structural Engineering (2011) from the University of Ottawa, Canada. He is also an MBA graduate (2015) from Laval University, Quebec. He started his engineering career in 2008 at Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd in Deep River, Ontario. He has later worked for several firms in Ottawa and Montreal before starting ABC Structure inc in Gatineau in June 2016.

With more than 10 years of engineering experience, John Stael JEAN-CLAUDE has designed many buildings in Quebec and Ontario. He is specialized in buildings renovations, modifications of existing buildings, and design of waterproof foundations for floodplain zone.
